It seemed like we were in full baby mode this week...doctor's appointments, baby class and baby goodies. When I arrived at school on Monday, two of my students had made me a cake! It was so sweet of them, and it was pretty tasty!
On Friday, we went for a doctor's appointment. Since we're going every two weeks now, it feels like we were just at the doctor. I love my doctor...they are so efficient. I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes and that was because she was at the hospital delivering a baby. Usually, they call me in early or right on time! My blood pressure was normal and all the tests from the blood they drew two weeks before was normal. I was a little worried I might be anemic since I'm not eating much meat, but it was normal.
On Saturday, we went back for child birth class. I told Jonathan from the start that I didn't want to watch the movies...I think I'm better off not knowing! Jonathan took it all in for both of us. We also had a chance to tour the hospital, practice breathing and ask some questions. We have class again next Saturday...hopefully, no more videos!
I ordered Baby G a coming home outfit, and it arrived on Saturday. I'm so excited...I just want time to move a little faster. I also picked up a few books in Spanish from Half-Priced Books. Jonathan read a few books to the belly yesterday and was promptly kicked in the face by Baby G. I'm not sure what that means?
I've been sleeping much better, just a few trips to the bathroom at night. I've moved on to Mexican food. This week, I called Joanthan on his way home and asked him to stop for chips and queso...at least it wasn't 2 a.m. Baby G is still very active in the evenings and at night. This week, he woke me up twice in the middle of the night kicking and moving. I've been eating a ton of fruit lately, and my share of ice cream...at least it has calcium. I've also noticed that I need a snack in the morning and afternoon, but my portion sizes have also gotten smaller.
